Norway says ‘mission accomplished’ on going 100% EV, proposes incentive changes

For years, Norway has been the poster child for electric vehicle adoption, a perfect example of how a combination of ambitious goals and robust incentives can transform a nation’s entire automotive industry.

Now, with the country on the cusp of achieving its goal of 100% all-electric new car sales by 2025, the Norwegian government is signaling a new phase in its EV strategy, proposing changes to its incentive program that include the introduction of taxes on electric vehicles.

The EV5 is the electric SUV we want, but can’t have. Kia’s new mid-size EV has it all: long driving range capabilities, fast charging, a spacious tech-oriented interior, and all of that at a competitive price. Sadly, those in the US won’t get to see it.

Can-Am, a subsidiary of BRP, has officially entered the electric age. After bringing their electric motorcycle to market, they electrified another segment of their line-up: ATVs, starting with the Outlander Electric.

Last month, I visited Jackson Hole, Wyoming, to test out the electric ATV, and I came away impressed by the experience.
